After graduating from San Francisco State University's Cinema Production program, Ashim worked at various film festivals before settling in Los Angeles. A 2018 Producing Fellow for Film Independent’s Project Involve, Ashim has worked in film, television, commercial, and digital production. He has produced documentary, narrative, and branded content for notable production companies such as RocketJump, Lionsgate, Hulu, Mitu and MACRO. Always interested in emerging tools to enhance storytelling, Ashim has been working with Kings Ransom Media, a boutique VFX shop in LA & NY, as a VFX Executive Producer landing and leading projects for Apple, A24, Universal, HBOMax and more.
His film We’re All Gonna Die, directed by long time RocketJump collaborators Freddie Wong & Matt Arnold, premiered at SXSW 2024 and is being released independently in theaters January 2025.
His next film Handle With Care, Written and Directed by Matthew James Thompson and Starring Justin H, Min, wrapped production in New York Fall 2024 and is now in Post Production
